I love the tiny feet of my daughters - they're soft, round and perfect. Those little feet have so far to go, so many kilometers to travel. As individuals, our girls have such amazing adventures to embark on and I will do my best to never hold them back, remembering always that their lives and loves are their own to discover. I will guide them as best as I can, I will love them with all of my heart and I will encourage them to be the people they want to be.

Circumstances over the last few months have left me reeling, and there are times when I have felt so alone that all I have wanted to do is sit and cry.

A little while ago, I received this Daily Truth from the Brave Girls Club, it reads as follows;

"So you can just breathe...just be. Because no matter what happens...no matter what the next big thing is...you will NEVER have to handle it alone. You will ALWAYS be given strength that is not your own. Miracles will come to your rescue AGAIN if anything happens, and then you don't have to worry...because you didn't have to worry even back then...when things were so hard...somehow you made it...and if you look back...it was not on your own...because we are never, ever alone."

 Some people have a connection with a higher being they call God, and that belief comforts and encourages them - and, most importantly, it leaves them feeling that they are never alone. Other people believe in someone or something else. Whatever it is, I find myself looking for it these days. But while I search and ask many different questions of many different people on this topic, I have also woken up to the fact that there are a bunch of amazing people in my life who are each there for a different reason - these are the people I call my family and friends. Some of these people have been in my life for many years (like my awesome parents - duh!), but there are two old friends in particular who are my comfort. Speaking to them is like cuddling up with a warm blanket. While other people have appeared quite recently, and I'm finding that they are like waves - nudging me from behind, prompting me to move forward. Whatever the history, I am so very grateful for each and every one of these people and the important roles they are playing in my life.

It's kinda like a big puzzle, with each person coming together to make one big picture.

One day, I hope to be able to give back what they have given me.
