I love the tiny feet of my daughters - they're soft, round and perfect. Those little feet have so far to go, so many kilometers to travel. As individuals, our girls have such amazing adventures to embark on and I will do my best to never hold them back, remembering always that their lives and loves are their own to discover. I will guide them as best as I can, I will love them with all of my heart and I will encourage them to be the people they want to be.

I'm being haunted - by a chocolate bar!

For every shop I walk into, there's a Twix chocolate bar with my name on it! Whether it's PNP or an Engen Quick Shop, a Twix bar WILL jump up and hijack my brain - or my grumbling tummy, whichever is having the weakest moment! I just can't get away from them. I think about them at home and in the office, and immediately after every meal! Yesterday as I stopped on my way home to pick up the usual essentials - of which Twix is not one - I groaned in despair at the sight of the Extra Size Twin Pack waiting just for me at the till. I reluctantly turned my head and ignored the desire to buy, buy, buy!

I can taste the crispy crunchiness, the smooth chocolate and the delicious chewy caramel but I refuse to surrender - not just yet! Not until Friday.

I remember eating (and loving) Twix bars during my time in the UK, and then I forgot about them - until this winter, when the BP Garage conveniently located 5 minutes away from my office, ran a promotion where you could buy coffee or hot chocolate and receive a free Twix - the idea being to dip, swirl and indulge. Heavens! What a treat! Eating chocolate fairly often in winter is ok - as far as I'm concerned. Comfort food abounds in winter - but now it's summer (almost) - which is why I will hold out until tomorrow to buy my Twix, and call it a weekend treat :-) Can't wait!! TGIF :-)

xx

  1. I have this same problem with jelly beans and wine gums and pretty much any sweet. So I try choose the till that has only bubblegum or chocolate (being lactose intolerant there is no temptation)

ENJOY IT when you do have it
