I love the tiny feet of my daughters - they're soft, round and perfect. Those little feet have so far to go, so many kilometers to travel. As individuals, our girls have such amazing adventures to embark on and I will do my best to never hold them back, remembering always that their lives and loves are their own to discover. I will guide them as best as I can, I will love them with all of my heart and I will encourage them to be the people they want to be.

Did you know? Have you heard? #SecretTooGoodToKeep

A Sorbet store has opened in Randridge Mall! Yup…just down the road for those of us who live in the area.

It's new, brand new! Doors opened on 1 October. I happened to walk past on the day it was opening and people were booking their appointments before the appointment book had even been unpacked!

Now I’m not one to spend money each month on nail polish, manis, pedis and face masques. There are too many other expenses my budget is attributed to, however I do love a good massage and there are times when nothing else livens up a girl’s day like some pretty nails. When your perfectly painted toes are peeping out of a pair of strappy Summer sandals, you can’t help but admire them!

I also love the Sorbet brand – fun, colourful, bubbly and pretty, you just want to go inside when you walk past a Sorbet shop.

So on Saturday, I did! I hadn’t really intended to buy anything, I’ve always had the impression that their goodies are quite expensive, but I was pleasantly surprised at the prices I saw!

The tragedy of this year has taken a real toll on my body. Dry hair, and skin literally peeling from my fingers, have been the least of the stress symptoms. This, together with the combination of a couple of can’t-get-out-of-bed days and the desire for something pretty was all I needed for a push in the let’s treat myself direction – and quicker than you could say “Jackflash” I had these three little treats tucked away in a Sorbet bag.

So today, after a 10km run, I am on the couch enjoying this view and delighting in the little Hoepoo who has decided that he quite likes our garden The house is empty, I'm listening to some laid back tunes and am just about to delve into my goodie bag. It's time to get that feeling.
