I love the tiny feet of my daughters - they're soft, round and perfect. Those little feet have so far to go, so many kilometers to travel. As individuals, our girls have such amazing adventures to embark on and I will do my best to never hold them back, remembering always that their lives and loves are their own to discover. I will guide them as best as I can, I will love them with all of my heart and I will encourage them to be the people they want to be.

I love the idea of my girls being my traveling companions!

And it's so true, isn't it? As we explore this adventure called life together.
Ella's journey. Jemma's journey. My journey. So inextricably linked, yet also so personal. We'll share the joys, and work through the scaries. We'll head down our separate paths, and meet up at different times to catch up and share the news.

I'll always love being their Mom! It is raw and pure. It is fierce and gentle. It is up and down. It IS magic and madness!

Mother's Day last Sunday was absolutely divine! I was treated to breakfast in bed - fruit, cashews and chocolate - yum! My babies snuggled up with me and we opened my pressies. They had both made gifts at school, and their Dad had also helped them to make a card, and bought a very divine tub of Body Shop chocolate scrub, which smells so good that it took all my willpower - and theirs - not to take a lick of it!

Sunday is the one morning I allow the girls to watch TV, they usually sneak into my bed for a quick kiss and cuddle and then shoot downstairs and snuggle together on the couch, watching TV while I indulge in some very rare book-reading time. On Sunday they had no interest in TV, they warmed up their bean bags and stayed hidden under the duvet with me, reading stories and doing maths. Maths?? Yes, maths! Ella decided she wanted to do some maths, I was still so blurry-eyed that I had to count on my fingers, hidden beneath the duvet, when she wanted me to check her answers!

We stayed in bed far too late, and then shot out to my Mom for the most divine brunch. It was lovely to spend time with her - and to be able to spoil her with some gifts I knew she would really enjoy.

Unfortunately F and I had to head off to work at the Bieber concert, leaving the girls with my Mom,
but they had loads of fun and I'm pretty sure that her time spent with them completely made her own Mother's Day!

I also received a lovely gift from my man and two other little munchkins who have become very special to me!

So blessed am I to be a Mom,
xoxo
