I love the tiny feet of my daughters - they're soft, round and perfect. Those little feet have so far to go, so many kilometers to travel. As individuals, our girls have such amazing adventures to embark on and I will do my best to never hold them back, remembering always that their lives and loves are their own to discover. I will guide them as best as I can, I will love them with all of my heart and I will encourage them to be the people they want to be.

Her Autumn shades

Jozi is looking so pretty these days...

I took these pics along the windy road that leads through Sundowner to Jem's school - no matter how rushed I am, I always manage to take in the beauty of this road. These pics were taken a few weeks ago so the leaves are falling now and soon the trees will be completely bare, but there's a tree on the corner that grows huge buds, or seeds, that look like great big pieces of fluffy cotton wool - it's lovely. So I know that as the seasons change, there is that to look out for. Every Spring I'm amazed at how, all of a sudden, these trees are covered in baby bright green leaves. It's kind of like watching your children grow up, you're with them every day, but one day when you sit back and really look, you realise how big they have suddenly become - the same goes for the leaves in Spring. And then, of course, in Summer this road is just one long avenue of greenery. Something to look forward to in every season!

And so, I guess, can the same be said for life :-)
