I love the tiny feet of my daughters - they're soft, round and perfect. Those little feet have so far to go, so many kilometers to travel. As individuals, our girls have such amazing adventures to embark on and I will do my best to never hold them back, remembering always that their lives and loves are their own to discover. I will guide them as best as I can, I will love them with all of my heart and I will encourage them to be the people they want to be.

Lucky in love

This evening as I said goodnight to my sweet little girls, they both sleepily called out comments that turned my heart to lumpy custard...

Snuggled on her tummy under the softest blankets, with her baby doll tucked under her arm, my two year old J mumbled in her soft, croaky voice "Love you Mommy...with all my heart". You can imagine how I swooned! I immediately turned back towards her bed and smothered her with hugs.

Propped up on her pillow, beneath a pink unicorn duvet, with her favourite horse beside her and Sleepy Bear in her arms, my five year old E proudly reminded me that she loved me more than both God and Nanna (my Mom) do! When my girls ask me how much I love them, I tell them that I love them more than all the stars in the sky but that they won't understand exactly how much that is until they have children of their own because mommy's love is just so big. So E understands that telling me she loves me more than my own Mom does is definitely a lot.

What wonderful loving little beings our children are - there's nothing else more uplifting than your children telling you how much they love you!

xx
