I love the tiny feet of my daughters - they're soft, round and perfect. Those little feet have so far to go, so many kilometers to travel. As individuals, our girls have such amazing adventures to embark on and I will do my best to never hold them back, remembering always that their lives and loves are their own to discover. I will guide them as best as I can, I will love them with all of my heart and I will encourage them to be the people they want to be.

Signs of...

Summer. Sunday night. 21h00. 1 more day.

I can hear the crickets chirping in the garden.
The heady scent of the newly opened buds on the Jasmine bush drifts in through the window.
There's compost on the lawn.
Plants have been moved or repotted.

The Loeries were playing in the Bottle Brush tree this morning, shouting at Maya as she 'twittered' in her feline way at the sight of them.

Windows and doors were wide open today.
We were all barefoot and our arms felt the light touch of the warmer rays.
E got dirty and then sat pouring water down her legs.
J sat in the shade smiling at the trees above her.

I have no shoes on, and no jersey.
I'm not shivering, or bundled up under a blanket in front of the gas heater.
The girls are asleep upstairs. They're both one layer of clothing lighter.
E has no socks on.
Their heaters are off.

1 more day until Spring.

Signs of Summer....at last :)
