I love the tiny feet of my daughters - they're soft, round and perfect. Those little feet have so far to go, so many kilometers to travel. As individuals, our girls have such amazing adventures to embark on and I will do my best to never hold them back, remembering always that their lives and loves are their own to discover. I will guide them as best as I can, I will love them with all of my heart and I will encourage them to be the people they want to be.

There is a little girl

There is a little girl
Her name is Ella
She lives within my heart
She’s far; so far away
Yet so close; we’ll never part.
I’ve felt her nudge me over
To make space upon the chair
Her giggle is all around me
She plays with and twirls my hair.

She’s my last thought before I sleep
And the first when I awake
I long to put my arms around her
Cup my hands beneath her chin
To kiss her little lips
And see that naughty grin.

Her friends learn and grow without her
Her sister misses her hugs
She changed my world - it came alive!
But now each day I wonder…
How must my Mommy heart survive?

It’s only for my little one
Who needs me to be brave
We live and love and laugh and play
And make the most of each new day.
I love her little soul so much
And hope to see her grow
Into a warrior; a woman
The world wants to know.

There is a little girl
Her name is Ella
Her angel wings have grown
I love her! Oh, so very much!
It’s hard to even say
I miss her so damn much it hurts
But will see her again one day.
