I love the tiny feet of my daughters - they're soft, round and perfect. Those little feet have so far to go, so many kilometers to travel. As individuals, our girls have such amazing adventures to embark on and I will do my best to never hold them back, remembering always that their lives and loves are their own to discover. I will guide them as best as I can, I will love them with all of my heart and I will encourage them to be the people they want to be.

Welcome home Mommy!

On arriving home this evening I heard (loud) whispers coming from inside the house - and immediately knew something was up. I unlocked the door and found our dear Faith sitting quietly on the couch - with a big grin on her face. The girls were nowhere to be seen, but I noticed a piece of paper on the stairs with an arrow pointing upwards. Faith nodded knowingly, caught me up on the afternoon's antics, and then said goodbye.

I followed the arrows upstairs, making as much noise as I could, so that the girls knew I was coming. The door to their room was closed, but the arrows led to mine.

I opened the door, it was dark and way too quiet. More (loud) whispers from behind the chair and then mayhem as the lights turned on and the girls screamed out, "SURPRISE!" as they jumped into my arms.

They had been really busy during the afternoon, preparing lots of goodies for me, all of which were neatly laid out on my bed.

I sat with them, ooh-ing and aah-ing over their creations, my heart full of joy. They snuggled into my arms, proud of themselves for surprising Mom.

An awesome start to the evening. Such sweethearts. Love them madly.

xoxo
