I love the tiny feet of my daughters - they're soft, round and perfect. Those little feet have so far to go, so many kilometers to travel. As individuals, our girls have such amazing adventures to embark on and I will do my best to never hold them back, remembering always that their lives and loves are their own to discover. I will guide them as best as I can, I will love them with all of my heart and I will encourage them to be the people they want to be.

RUN FREE, RUN JOZI - a follow up...

The race has been run - race times and pics are on the Nike Running ZA page. Obviously I had hoped that I would surprise myself and run a fabulously fast PB, but to be honest, I'm just really inspired that I finished my first 10km race feeling so strong.

Unfortunately our timing chips were activated as the gun went off, rather than as we crossed the starting line. So my official race time was 1 hour 20, but it took me a good 10 minutes to reach the starting line, so I'm going to place myself at 1 hour 10! Just have to shave 10 minutes off that time! Best thing is that I was placed 4 840th (!!), which, out of 10 000 people in total, is pretty great - especially considering I started closer to the back of the pack than the front. *Proud*.

Cool thing was that there were loads of strong, fit-looking guys who were walking and looking knackered, as I sailed right past them... :-)
