I love the tiny feet of my daughters - they're soft, round and perfect. Those little feet have so far to go, so many kilometers to travel. As individuals, our girls have such amazing adventures to embark on and I will do my best to never hold them back, remembering always that their lives and loves are their own to discover. I will guide them as best as I can, I will love them with all of my heart and I will encourage them to be the people they want to be.

Mbona Private Nature Reserve

Mbona Private Nature Reserve is a little piece of heaven situated in the Karkloof Valley, not far from Pietermaritzburg and Hilton. It's kind of a (and I use this very loosely) 'residential estate' with 100 homes built on the approx 880 hectare reserve. Zebra and buck, amongst other animals, roam the hills of Mbona. A number of dams add to the spectacular beauty, the roads are safe for walking and cycling, gorgeous horses use the stables as their home - it's a Nature Reserve that people live in!

As 2011 drew to an end we were lucky enough to be treated to a fabulous day chilling at Mbona. My brother's girlfriend's parents own a home in the Reserve. They get to experience the beauty, calm and incredible views Mbona provides on a daily basis. I understand that the area has the 2nd highest rainfall in SA, so we were truly lucky to experience such gorgeous weather on our day there. I didn't get to take many pics, I was too relaxed to even make the effort, but here are some of the pics I did take.
