I love the tiny feet of my daughters - they're soft, round and perfect. Those little feet have so far to go, so many kilometers to travel. As individuals, our girls have such amazing adventures to embark on and I will do my best to never hold them back, remembering always that their lives and loves are their own to discover. I will guide them as best as I can, I will love them with all of my heart and I will encourage them to be the people they want to be.

It wasn't me...

Our 3 year old madam has a lovely habit of picking her nose while she's lying in bed at night and wiping the boogers....not on a tissue, not even on her clothes....on the headboard of her pretty white bed! I had a little chat to her about this and for a while left a box of tissues on the table beside her bed. The habit stopped and because I kept finding shredded tissues in her bed I moved the tissues. BUT I have recently discovered that the nose picking hasn't actually stopped and that the boogers are now being wiped on the wall - just as well we haven't found the time to paint her room yet! I spoke to her about it again and this is how the conversation went:

"But Mom, it wasn't me"
"It wasn't you? Then who was it?"
"It was the booger fairy, of course!"

The booger fairy? Ok! Well that's a new one to me! And where does this sweet little fairy get all of the boogers from? From her dress (I overheard her telling this to her Pops)! She has a dress made of boogers? Lovely!

How lucky she is to have all of those poor little fairies around to take the fall for her.
